Beautiful DIY styling, native gum leaves and tones of metallic gold made for a spectacular bush themed wedding reception in Mt Cotton. We recently had the pleasure of creating beautiful letterpress wedding invitations, ceremony programs and matching reception stationery for Brisbane couple Anita and Nathan. We could not be more excited to show you how a little added creative DIY by the bride and her mother could create such a fabulous atmosphere.

Married at Holy Trinity Church in Fortitude Valley, the couple’s special day was celebrated amongst a bushland setting under a clear marquee and festoon lighting on Anita’s family property in Mt Cotton. Taking advantage of their local surroundings, the timber trestle tables were decorated with long garlands of native flowers and gum leaves picked from the family property. We had printed the placecards and menus in charcoal grey ink for a little contrast amongst all the glorious gold and timber tones; the hand drawn style of typography for the guest names on each place card matched the couple’s wedding invitation. Metallic Gold was a key feature throughout the table setting with gold charger plates and white linen napkins, with the placecards atop of gorgeous hand painted gold leaves.

With some gorgeous custom typography, Anita and Nathan’s Wedding invitations were letterpressed in one colour grey ink on Wild 450gsm Cotton which features a lovely natural felt texture. This paper and tone was carried through to the reception stationery which was digitally printed at our Brisbane Studio.
